It's loot time once again, which means I'm sharing some of the loot I've picked up recently. With a full time job comes a constant income and a newfound desire to try out (and spend money on) some new things, so naturally I've acquired a bit of loot.
Started with the books now we here
I've picked up three new books (which I have yet to read, bad reader) all of which were recommended to me, online and offline. I've heard super good things about them and as I mostly read fiction books I decided to pick up When Breath Becomes Air by Paul Kalanithi. It's pretty heavy and hard hitting read, written by a surgeon with terminal cancer before his death, but it comes highly recommended. I also picked up some light reading in the form of Holding Up The Universe, and a longer read (look at the size of it!) in the form of A Little Life. At my current reading rate it might just take me the rest of the year to make a dent in it!Gym
I'm not sure if its obvious from this blog, but recently the gym has taken over my life. Everyone who knows me personally has been subject to my prolific gym talk, so needless to say, I'm super into the gym. I'm also super into my gym outfits. At the gym I wanna be comfortable but I also want to look super cute at the same time. I'm super determined and adamant that I can achieve both so I'm slowly building up my workout clothes. I can have my comfort and style it out. Keep an eye out for a gym lookbook coming in the near future, hint hint.Wireless gym headphones.
I've been compiling my own gym playlist so I picked up some wireless earphones to use at the gym and wow! I'm not gonna call them a gym 'essential' but it's so freeing to workout with wireless earphones! No tangled wires and no accidentally ripping your earphones out of your phone socket, so freeing! I got these ones from HMV for around £15. They connect using Bluetooth and usually last about four gym sessions before I have to recharge them, not too bad. Plus they're cute and purple!
Hello Kitty Kinder Surprises Eggs.
I have somehow developed a childlike obsession with the hello kitty kinder eggs. I'm not a huge fan of the whole gendered toys thing Kinder have going on, but I love Hello Kitty so I had to pick some of these up! I have about six already and have a cute at collection growing on my desk at work. I like to call them my hello kitty army. Plus the kinder eggs are just the right amount of chocolate, especially if you too seem to lose self control around chocolate.Sakura Gelly Roll pens and Gorjuss Stamps
I picked these up at the Hochanda craft event at Alexandra Palace this summer and found some super deals. I've been admiring these Sakura pens for years, they're quite hard to find online and are often imported, so you know I bought them as soon as I saw them! Also they're pink and sparkly so you know, very me. The Gorjuss stamps are so versatile and cute, and usually cost a lot more than I paid for them.TOTM Tampons
Tampons? You might be thinking, Rosario why are you writing about picking up some tampons? I picked these up at the Bloggers Festival in September and was super intrested in the brand TOTM, as they provide 'organic, cruelty-free, biodegradable tampons, pads and liners' They're free from the perfumes and garbage in most period products and are also biodegradable, how awesome is that! I never thought I'd be excited to try a period product, but here we are.Assassin's Creed: Origins
I haven't played Assassins Creed since Black Flag but this one looked so good I had to cheekily pick it up after work. It reminds me of the first couple of Assassin's Creed games mixed with Prince of Persia and Lara croft, which all happen to be some of my favourite games. It's the only recent Assassin Creed game that's actually caught my attention, and that I've actually been interested it. It's set in Ancient Egypt, follows the story of Bayek and his wife Aya. When I found out you can ride camels around the world, I was instantly sold. Can confidently confirm I made the right decision.
Thanks for reading and have a lovely day!
